James Markham Goalkeeper.  Joined the club last season as a centre forward and was the reserves leading goal scorer.  His goalkeeping Improves with every game and made two tremendous last minute saves in the previous round v Amesbury that kept us in the game.  Nick name Jam Jar and the story goes that one of his spherical’s is kept in one???

Mark Tottle Goalkeeper.  Good clubman and has been with the club for four years.  Played a blinder in the recent Shaftsbury game when called upon at the last minute.  Safe pair of hands which he will need in the next few weeks as his partner is expecting their first child.

Chris Bazen Right Back. Third season with the club and has only just returned from a bad injury.  Gareth Bale look a like but at least we do sometimes win when he plays! Could talk for England  Very competitive and a great passer of the ball.

Mark Warnock Centre Half. Bank Manager.  Strong, no nonsense player, doesn’t take any prisoners and expects the same from others on the pitch. Lets team members know it if they are falling short. Off the pitch the complete gentleman and a great ambassador for the club.

Paul Standage Centre Half.  Joined at the start of the season when Fleet Town had a clear out.  Has become a much better player since joining North End.  Very composed on the ball, quick and a great tackler.

Peter Millington-Lee Versatility player.  Never know where Millie will end up playing, could be centre half or centre forward.  Great in the air and has a fierce shot.  Strong competitive the complete footballer.

Andy Newcombe Left Back.  Was forced into playing for the club by the then reserve team manager who said he could only go out with his daughter if he played for North End.  This is now his fourth season!!  Swashbuckling, brave, sweet left foot, leads by example, Team Captain.

Richard Hale Right Wing.  Electric Pace, our answer to Road Runner Beep Beep.  The last survivor of Pyestock FC who amalgamated with North End five seasons ago, we managed to off load the others!! Only returned this season after nearly 18 months out of the game with a bad injury (broken toe nail).  A valuable member of the squad.

Chris Maunder  Centre Midfield.  Will run for ever, trainings bleep test king.  Most appearances for the club ever, must be over 600.  His special diet is his secret, I am sure he is powered by it, whatever it is he loves sharing it with the team in the tight confines of the changing  room !!

Grant Stevens Midfield/Defender.  Skillful, tenacious, little big man, lion hearted.  One of manager Brooks best signings of the season.  King of the banter in the changing room.  Quality player and in his youth played at a higher level (they wore platform heels in those days)

Harry Harding  Defender/Midfield.  Clean cut, still very young but a very mature footballer for his age.  Incredibly skilful, sweet right foot potentially will be playing at a higher level.  Hopefully with North End.

Paul Duff Left Wing.  Was in the shadows of his older brother who moved onto Cove earlier this season.  Has been a regular in the reserves for the last two seasons.  Has now matured and stamped his place in the squad.  Probably this seasons most improved player.  Fantastic athlete and has the most incredible goal celebration I have ever seen.  Let’s hope we see it tonight.

George Avery Defender/Midfield.  Signed by the reserves earlier in the season but was immediately taken after only a couple of games by the first team as he showed great potential  (he had a car and doesn’t mind buying a round) Great clubman, always at training and has never let the team down when called upon.  A player to watch for the future.

Aaron King  Striker. (our only academic). The clubs leading goal scorer.  A constant menace to any defender and linesmen, as I have never known a player who drinks so much water during a game.  One of these days he will hit the assistant when he throws the bottle back to the bench.   The most spirited player in the team, full of energy a great asset to the club.

Liam Tolley Striker. (with the flowing locks).  Great touch, composure, has an instinct for goal.  Was lured away from our closest rivals Fleet Spurs (we offered him extra hair products) earlier in the season but has only recently returned from injury.

Liam Jones Midfield. Club Treasurer, Mascot.  Stalwart of the club, a complete gentleman but in the dugout or on the field turns into a Jekyll and Hyde character.  Spitting fire and talking complete nonsense, fully committed, tough tackling Welshman.

Paul Xibberras.  The oldest player in the squad. Chairman and Secretary, practically runs the club single handed.  Always cool under pressure, deceivingly slow on the pitch but has a great footballing brain which he usually leaves at home along with the team sheets and half the kit.  Farnborough North End wouldn’t survive without him.

Mark Thomas Midfield.  Unfortunately Mark will not be playing tonight as he suffered a broken leg at Hythe a couple of weeks ago.  Mark is a big loss to our team, a colourful character (especially his painted toenails!!)  we wish him a speedy recovery.
